Global Village #6

(5/4/24)

Global Village was not originally on Sarah's list of places she wanted to see, but SweetArt convinced her to go, so we got ourselves there this evening. Happy to say she loved it! So did Simon. He had this camera out almost all the time, shooting pictures of knick-knacks, sights and beautiful things. The evening was warm, so the hours we spent there were enough.

I am glad Global Village is open during Ramadan. It starts later (6 PM) and goes until 2 AM. I didn't think it would be busy coming up to Iftar, so it was a shock to the system to find the place heaving right from the start. We bumped into friends Shabnam and Shelina in India. (I've got to come back with a collage).

Dinner was at the same Iranian restaurant as our last visit. Both guests loved the food and experience. We finished off with a Turkish ice cream. Simon was aware of the entertainment that comes with it and wanted to experience it. In the short time we were there, we visited Morocco, Egypt, India, Africa, Japan, Iran, Turkey and Pakistan. Not bad at all for four hours. As usual, there were loads of people coming in as we were leaving. We might have stayed longer if G & I didn't have to be at work the next morning!
