Silly Saturday: Silly Weather

Regular followers of my blips will know that several of them are taken at Killingworth Lake, just over a mile from where we live and on one of my favourite routes for a morning walk. In actual fact there are (normally) two lakes (a smaller on by the leisure centre and a larger one separated from it by a road). However the weather has been so silly - so incredibly wet - for the last several months that a third lake seems to have formed! The normal (smaller) lake is just visible here as a streak in front of the leisure centre at the top of the photo. We're hoping that this silly weather over the winter means that we'll have a nice summer but who knows? It's always silly to rely on the British weather.
