This is, as they say, "it"

The final day was our big push northwards from Portsmouth, and it was also the longest day, so less a day of sightseeing and more a day of racking up motorway and A-road miles, with several stops to take a breather or to have coffee-and-a-bun.

We did however manage to fit in a highly relaxing spa session before breakfast, then a trip to a pub and later on, a little potter around Thatcham to investigate another bandstand, which judging by the ceiling rosette I think is by the Lion Foundry.

The wind and rain and sun came and went and came and went again, but BikerBabe and I rode at a sensibly slow pace, and over the 240 miles (and possibly helped with a slight tail wind) I achieved 61mpg which is probably a record for a 1300cc Pan European!

I've been really impressed with the Cardo intercom, too, and having another pair of eyes and ears was great for easier navigating and chit chat while on the move.

What a super wee holiday, with lovely company along the way! The question is, where next? :-)
