Fence daffs

Daffodils somehow always make things better. Such a cheerful flower. These are full sized daffs, which come out later than the dwarf variety we put in around the back. These particular ones predate our occupation of this garden and this house and obviously the bulbs were not stirred up too badly by our digging out of old plants and the replacement fence works. Well done, I say. They look great against the new fence.

It cleared up this evening, but the rest of the day was wet and grey. It's still pretty chilly and windy, and the wind has swung round towards the north west. I'm hoping for a sunny morning, as a morning swim has been announced.

This morning, I chose a slightly different approach to exercise and relaxation, attending the Tuesday morning yoga class at TRACC, which has a different teacher to the Wednesday evening one. I really enjoyed it. Afterwards, I went to Bannermanns for some bits, including some tasty salmon steaks, and then met Mr A at Piper's for coffee and a bun.

Later on, we popped to a couple of other shops to get a few additional bits and pieces, before Mr A cooked a wild mushroom risotto to go with the salmon steaks. That went down exceedingly well.

So this might not be everyone's idea of a holiday, but I feel thoroughly relaxed and chilled out. And well rested, which is one of the most important things. Every morning, it is possible to sleep later *because there is no noise from a building site*. If we were in Edinburgh, holiday or no holiday, we'd be awakened before 7am every morning (except Sundays) by the generators starting up and activities beginning on the building site.
