Dog with a secret

This dog has been up to something. 

The look in her hooded eyes hint at it. The dirty nose gives the game away.

She found a peach which wasn't ripe enough to eat. So she buried it in a dusty hollow. It's a secret of course.

All day we have been waiting for rain to arrive: spill-over from the West Coast which is getting a dangerous soaking. But now it is not forecast to appear Chez Mima until 6am tomorrow. 

Originally we were due to get 40mm or more. The latest forecast suggests we will definitely get rain, but there is just a 43% chance of 18mm. 

Our high hopes are thus steadily dashed. And the drought continues... And I keep watering the veggies.
