Day is done....

Slept in,
Missed the gym,
Cuppa in hand,
Stroll through the garden.

A sad discovery,
A little fantail lay still,
Head face down,
Tail still fanned.

Little wax-eyes,
Came to cheer,
A monarch butterfly
Fluttered by.

Afternoon tea for three,
Plus one more,
Divine tarts and
Hot tea.

A few laughs,
In good company with,
My mum, Daughter A and Daughter E.

20C, calm and mild,
Warm upon my back,
Soaking through my bones,
No sign of winter today.

Leafless trees and,
Clouds of pink,
A setting sun.....

As day is done.
