Spring garden

This is an experiment using a "lite" (i.e. free) version of a collage app. The resulting jpeg is very low quality, but it does what I wanted which is to highlight the pleasure of the spring flowers in the garden. I was especially pleased with capturing a bumblebee inside a hellebore flower. Oh, and that the magnolia stellata (thanks, neatwithice and W) is just flowering. Sadly we are going to miss its best bits.

We were up betimes to go shopping, and between us we did plenty of food preparation and house preparation during the day. I broke off both to go for a swim with A, L and M originally at the Port, and then afterwards to Shandwick as Port was too rough for swimming (westerly breeze). I also did a bit of weeding around the garden, mainly hoicking out dandelions before they have a chance to flower. I'm not too worried about pollinators. There are plenty of other options for them in the garden.

A and N came round for dinner, and although Mr A was not satisfied with the food he prepared, I thought it was pretty delicious, especially the Thai fish curry. It was good to have friends round when it was still light and although we didn't manage to have a drink in the garden which would have been ideal, we did enjoy the front garden from the living room for a couple of hours before it got dark. There was also a magnificent rainbow over the houses opposite. A good evening.
