Watching Wigan Away (again)

Wigan Warriors played Castleford again today, in the Challenge Cup quarter finals this time. As it's a Sunday game we went to watch live, and happily in better weather than last time when we got soaked.

It was a very convincing win for Wigan, 60 points to 6. It would have been more if all the goal kicks had been converted. Castleford were terrible really though, they didn't really give us a game. I was impressed with Wigan's ruthlessness in keeping up the momentum despite the lack of credible opposition. The only negative thing was a bad ankle injury for one of our senior players who has played for us for years. I hope it is not as bad as it looked and he will be back before the end of the season.

The draw is taking place as I type, and in the next round we will play Hull KR. They knocked us out of the cup last year so hopefully Wigan will be better prepared for them this time.

It's been a good day, just going to drink coffee and watch the second half of the last quarter final now.
