Up, up and away!

We had a wonderful experience today - a flight in a four-seater plane from Oamaru south to the Herbert Forest and over Macraes goldmine, then west past Naseby,  Ranfurly and Mount Buster from where we could see Danseys Pass, then up to Omarama where we landed and had lunch.  After lunch we followed the Waitaki River back to Oamaru and I was interested to see Bortons Pond where our blipper friend, Mima, likes to go for a walk.  We flew past our house not long after setting off this morning, which was fun.  MrMacD flew the plane on the way to Omarama and I flew it back to Oamaru.  Obviously we didn’t do the take offs or landings but other than that we had control.  It was quite an experience.  We were exhausted when we got home - probably the excitement and concentration.  It was a wonderful day.

I still haven’t looked at blip journals, so am behind.
