Another evening blip

Such a busy day- the handyman was here putting back shelves and curtain rails, and replacing runners in my chest of drawers. I spent the whole day cleaning, putting back hundreds of books, rehanging curtains and so on.
This was about 6.30 in the evening - my garden is in the shade - so my brilliantly coloured apple tree looks dull and dark, but the trees beyond still had sunshine on them and the sky was nice. These are ash and sycamore, and on neither have the leaves opened much so they still look wintery. If you are familiar with Sisley’s Small Meadows in Spring - I was reminded of that.
