Fallen ....

We headed over to Killiekrankie this morning to do the Craig Fonvuick loop, which is one of our favourites.  The route takes you across the Garry and then through woodland and fields before reaching the top. A short detour off the main path takes you to a highpoint which give wonderful views of Ben Vrackie, Beinn a' Ghlo and other hills in the Glen Tilt areas as well as down towards Pitlochry and beyond.  This has featured in previous blips by me and one other.

The downward stretch takes you passed some ruined shielings and down a steep path through the woods above Killiekrankie. Damage from recent storms was in evidence including this fallen specimen which we had to pass under.

Back home I made cream of mushroom soup for lunch using coconut milk instead of cream and then caught up with various bits of personal admin (which seemed to take ages).

We shall continue watching Ripley tonight. It is beautifully filmed and has some really gripping moments but I am also finding it slow in places. Andrew Scott is very good (as is the cat in episode 5 !).
