Class 14 Teddy Bear at Tenterden Town

A curate’s egg sort of day. An early book on at 7.45am, train arrived at 8.05am. Only the guard around to help, no information about who to expect for the driving experience. Turned out that there wasn’t anyone for the first train.

The second train arrived on time. The railway experience driver was already there. Nobody to greet him apart from me and I was working the box. Eventually matched driver with train crew and off they went.

The remaining trains ran on time with the railway experience drivers on board. However, a fault with the block between Tenterden and Rolvenden caused a delay as we had to instigate Pilotman working until the fault was fixed.

Miraculously the crews worked hard to catch up so we managed to finish on time despite some shunting having to be done as a couple of carriages had been left on the loop line boxing in the train engine. Once that was resolved all was well and we could go home.

Spent some time this evening checking the Order of Service in minute detail, finding errors and sending them off to the funeral directors.
