Cactus flower

The cactus flowers have begun to bloom. Here’s one from the grizzly prickly pear cactus in my backyard. They’re so delicate that it’s hard to believe they’re from such a tough plant. For those unfamiliar with cactus flowers, they bloom in the early morning and begin to close and wither as the sun moves past its peak. Each lasts for a single day and is truly a gift.

I’ve only accomplished doing a thing or two around the house. I have such a headache that I’ve muted the baseball game on TV. I’ll take some Tylenol and rest my eyes (when the game is over). It’ll pass eventually.
