Camassia

One of the joys of having a new garden is discovering new plants. Today's surprise is a mass of Camassia leichtlinii. The flower spikes are just starting to open and are already attracting lots of pollinators.

This morning I cut the grass in the small paddock for the first time. It was hard work and I now recognise the need to get a ride-on mower.
