Afternoon walk

F and I spent a pleasant afternoon going for a walk on the footpaths of a large neighbouring estate, wealthy enough not to have the gardens or house open to the public. We wandered through parkland, past the house, up the drive with the horses in their paddocks to beautiful woodland filled with wild flowers, foxgloves, ragged robins and orchids to name but a few. What was good was that the walk was circular and we finished off where we started, in the village.
