Samara Joy

An excellent concert this evening with Samara Joy, who is quite a phenomenal singer, who reworks a lot of her material with her very talented band. Absolutely heartwarming with charming chat between the songs which gave me a chance to capture this image. The Usher Hall was not full this time, but I suspect it will be the next time she is round. But the audience was spellbound and very enthusiastic.

This topped off a day at work which had some good and some not so good bits, the latter including news about a colleague facing an enormous challenge, but hopefully with good heart, great expertise and some assistance from the institution. Fingers crossed.

In other news, Elmer sent me a photograph of the magnolia stellata, which he went to visit with his Dad. See extra. The colour contrast really suits his silky black ears. As foretold, we are missing its best bits.
