A day in the life

By Shelling

Showtime

The time came for the long awaited Shakespeare evening including John Dowlands music, and now it's over.
It became an event with huge contrasts, Kent Hägglund, one of Swedens leading scholars in the life and plays of William Shakespeare was there, drama-students from the folk highschool on Öland was there (extra), they've just done a very celebrated version of A midsummer nights dream at Kalmar theatre as their exam-play.Johan Bernander, actor and owner of the house we were in did some Shakespeare monologue-bits in an entertaining way and then we, the musicians were there, playing my arrangements of John Dowlands music for cello, base-clarinet and guitar. In the main, Thomas warms up his clarinet.

Melancholy tunes from us, the musician
Melancholy tunes from us, the musicians, rave party dancing from the youngsters, part of their performance and interesting discussions and facts from the Scholar. I'm sad you weren't there, I'm sure you would have enjoyed at least some of it.
