Angel in Morpeth

Our regular Wednesday walk was in Morpeth today. The local guides, Brian and Lynne, took us on a route that weaved up and down, then in and out of the local woods. It was certainly different from our usual sort of walking.

In the graveyard we went to see the grave of Emily Wilding Davison. This is not it, but I liked this angel, aged with algae, so decided to blip it. I have no idea what is in her left hand. Any ideas?

Tonight one of our hedgehogs came at 8pm while it was still light. We think it wanted to be sure of a good feed of mealworms before one of the large hogs appeared. (It's the early hedgehog bird that catches the mealworm!)
