Almost ready

Today was set up day. Tents, tables, chairs, horseshoes etc. The pulled pork is 'pulled' and ready for the slow cooker in the morning. I think it came out great!

Why is it that no matter how many lists you make for a party you still end up running back to the store for things you forgot. I was feeling confident that we had everything under control and then when we took out the chairs and tables to set up we remember a few chairs broke last year. We needed more chairs!
I am sure everyone is familiar with the green plastic lawn chairs that are so popular because they are stackable and therefore easily stored when not using them. We have a bunch since we do this rather large BBQ every year. Last year we picked up six chairs that were cheap and boy was that a mistake. My guests were slowly sinking, as the legs of the chairs would bend and bow. Someone leaned back a little on one of the chairs and the entire chair collapsed under them. Of course, it was hysterical at the time and nobody got hurt but they all went into the trash after that party.
Aside from the chairs, we also had to run back for a number of other things but we finally done and have our final list of chores for the morning. I can actually see a few stars tonight so maybe it is really going to clear up and be nice. That would be wonderful.
