Doing The Splits

This morning I did some much put off DIY, then joined G at Pensthorpe for a wander this afternoon. It was very sunny and hot, my first t-shirt day, and the light contrast was quite challenging photography wise. Most of the birds were chilling or hiding (including the flamingos), but those in the large 'aviary' section were more active as it's a lot cooler in there. I wondered if this is a juvenille bearded tit doing the splits? The avocet eggs haven't hatched yet. The ruff is still displaying and the turtle doves were very 'active'. I've added a collage of a turtle dove and some of the beautiful flowers around.
