Isle of Skye View

We're looking east about a half hour south of Portree, in mid-morning. Our hosts identified the peak on the right as Marsco (ca. 750 meters or 2400 feet). The waterway is Loch Sligachan.

We were on an all-day tour of the island with a guide. The weather started out relatively bright and sunny, but rather quickly turned mixed, with clouds and intermittent light rain. Unfortunately the wind blew fiercely throughout, at 25 mph (40 kph) or more. With the poor conditions we saw relatively few birds--a very distant sea eagle in flight, but really nothing else worth reporting.
