I’m no longer seeing the consultant on Friday afternoon – I’ve been hit with a deluge of emails and surprisingly (for a medical appointment) it's now Thursday morning which suits me better for a variety of reasons.

Meanwhile dad gave in to having help with the garden and today Paul and Ty achieved more in an hour than dad could have done in a week.

Plus, it has a feelgood driver behind it which helped sell it to dad: -
Goscote Greenacres is a not-for-profit company set up in 2012 by Walsall social services, to encourage and support local people with learning disabilities, and those without, to come together on a local allotment site and community garden to learn new skills, meet new people and enjoy gardening and other outdoor activities together.
They recently launched a Garden Maintenance Service where supervisory staff go out with some of the volunteers with learning disabilities to undertake garden paid work undertaking work on domestic and commercial premises. This gives the volunteers a chance to feel part of the wider community and also brings income into the gardens.

Ty was brilliant with the large petrol-powered mower!
