Today is the tenth anniversary of Brian's Dad passing away and he booked the day off work. He took some flowers to his Dad's grave this morning and this afternoon we went for a walk around the beautiful gardens of Auburn Hall and to look at the "Feathers From Above" exhibition by/in aid of the St Barnabas Hospice charity.

Their staff did a great deal to support the family during the time of Brian's Dad's short illness leading to his death, and the family have continued to support the charity since. Brian had purchased one of the feathers, and it will be his to collect when the exhibition ends.

The gardens are beautiful There are enclosed "garden rooms" stretching West to East. Behind are wilder spaces (The Dell, the Prairie Garden and the Stumpery, which I am Blipping). There's also a formal rose garden,  a labyrinth which we walked and a meadow bank as well as a tennis court and a croquet lawn. It was lovely for a wander on a sunny day.

I'll include a fungi extra seeing as I almost fell into a swamp to get the shot! It was very large fungi, with a third piece below this which I could not get into the shot from where I had to stand.
