Happy Birthday!

After the fox strike, my husband put a dozen eggs in the incubator with hopes of replenishing our flock. Today, 21 days exactly since they were laid, 5 of the 12 have hatched (so far.) This was the first to hatch. It was fluffier than the others, which were still a bit wet. One chick (extra) was still coming out of the shell when I took the main photo. What a difference a few hours makes!
