Passed over Peony

I should have photographed this on Friday, but somehow it got forgotten.  Somehow I don’t think it will last another week, so today it has to be.  Almost to the stage where it could contend for Derelict Sunday, but not quite.
 
The main job today was trimming our front hedge on the street side.  I did have in mind to start treating the now exposed fence but a hornet decided that one of our swift boxes looked like a good nesting place, and preventing that tipped the balance of intentions so wood treating will (should or maybe) start tomorrow.
 
There is a possibility that I might fire up our BBQ this evening.  First time in over two years, I’ll report back tomorrow.
