Wound up in Wexford

Mark was a guest artist at our concert, playing the Uillean (seems to be pronounced ullan) pipes and low whistles.  Here he was clearly concentrating after we'd had a short rehearsal in the afternoon, before the main event.

The concert itself (all music by Irish composers/of Irish origin) went off very well - I think the audience enjoyed it.  But I'll not be sorry to move on to something new.  The County Council offices seem an odd venue for a concert, but actually there's a big space and a stage that functions quite well.

Having a rehearsal beforehand, I dropped W off with T (S plays trumpet in the band) for a "playdate" - they came along to the concert later.  I came away from their house with an old, rusty cast iron gate in the back of the car - it'll look great scrubbed up a bit as an informal trellis for some clematis or jasmine.  But first we have to wrangle it out of the car!
