Canal Graffiti

I first spotted this bit of graffiti in September 2011 under Deepcut Bridge on the Basingstoke Canal, and before joining Blipfoto.  It's a bit faded now, and one of the faces has acquired a mask, but surprisingly still relatively untouched, although graffiti is still being added around it (extra).

The same couldn't be said for the surrounding area which use to be part of Deepcut Army Camp. It is now being transformed into a "village", if such could be said of a 1000+ new homes plus supporting amenities. Still, I have to say that the designers are maintaining some greenspace by adding walkways and paths onto the canal and what remains of the surrounding countryside which once finished should be of benefit to the community and wildlife.
