Now, as I see it......

Onwards and Upwards

After a couple of days of good weather in Lucerne we have now moved on to Interlaken where it is decidedly cool and wet.  A good journey on the train which went onto cog tracks at one point to go up and over a mountain pass.  I took this shot of the cows through a rather wet train window.

The forecast for the rest of the holiday isn't great but we'll still get out and do what we want.  One thing we won't be doing is the trip to the top of the Jungfrau.  Without the reduction with our Swiss Travel Passes it would have cost around £450 for the two of us to go to the top and back and even with our discount it would still cost us around £370.  Now, I'm no skinflint but that is too much for a day trip especially when the weather would restrict the view.  The TV in our room has a live webcam showing from the top so I think we'll just make do with that!

The weather didn't put off the paragliders jumping from the top of a nearby mountain and landing in the centre of town.  That's something else I won't be doing, and that's not because of the price!
