Such riches

An intense colour, matched by an equally intense perfume... the glorious 
Rosa 'Roseraie de l'Haÿ.  A rugosa rose that tolerates some shade and - judging by how happy it is in our rubble-based garden - fairly poor soil too.
It never fails to lift my spirits as I walk around the garden and catch the drifting scent.
