Gorge walk

This afternoon Cathleen and I walked to the gorge that lies to the north of our house. We hadn't visited it for years (probably since Cailean and his school friends used to go bathing in one of the pools at the top on days like this) but when we got to it the sun was so bright , the colours so intense and the water so attractive we decided to walk down it towards the loch, just to see how far we could get.

A bit scratched by brambles and a bit damp in our wellies we emerged on the road below the house after about 40 minutes glad to have made it and pleased that we had tried.

This as one of the pools about half way down, with the sunlight on the rocks casting orange shadows.
