"A Late Afternoon Walk"...

...Along the riverside - so peaceful it was there, with just the waterbirds settling for the evening...I had so many captures I could choose from - along the river, with just John and I and the waterbirds...

...But this one it is for today, the pelicans will have to wait for another day, there were so many of them today - a lovely sunny day after a zero start and - I could see them from the town centre where we had been shopping and took a few shots from one of the office windows - but we decided to go down to the river later, and here you have the pied cormorant sitting and waiting for the last opportunity for a feed before the evening drew to a close..there were many of them already roosting in the tall trees and just a couple of seconds later - off he flew as well, into the late evening light..
