Birthday rose

A present for a lovely friend's sixtieth birthday today. People at work have made a proper fuss of her which she more than she deserves. A busy Thursday followed by a mini- gala, not on the scale of the good old days but still quite nice - particularly the cake and plant stalls. Another week which has gone incredibly fast - Friday already tomorrow. It's due to be a day of interviewing followed by a meal out for the big birthday. I'll definitely be relieved to get to the end of it all.
