Today has been a great day. Mainly due to the fact that I finished work at 1pm! Hooray!

It has been H's first school sports day. It was lovely watching him in his races, but sitting in the blazing hot sun for almost two hours was not so lovely.

When it finished, one of the other mums and I took H and her little girl Izzy for celebratory ice cream sundaes in the sunshine. Then it was home for tea in the garden and then off out again to the local park so our future little Bradley Wiggins could practice his new found skill of riding his bike without stabilisers.

All in all, a pretty marvelous day. If only every Thursday was like that...!
