Hanbury Hall and Gardens

I'm back! We (JWJ Printmakers) have just had a wonderful few days in Devon working with Merlyn Chesterman.

We searched out Hanbury Hall, near Droitwich Spa, for our break on the journey down and enjoyed lunch and a look at an exhibition by a Japanese artist who has been making prints of many National Trust properties. Not my choice of print to purchase, but interesting - and he was there with the exhibition.

So many photos to choose from - so which one to choose was a difficult decision. I liked this view taken through the tea-room window as it captures something of the place and the summer day.

Later and following a meal of delicious goodies bought by Merlyn at the Farmer's Market, we had a quick tour and then a trip in the car to Hartland Quay to watch the sun set over the Atlantic. A wonderful start to a very special few days away.
