River of Flowers

Borage

Many years ago my garden had Borage growing everywhere, but for quite a few years I have seen no sign of it. When I was talking with my good friend Mrs Toad she was experiencing exactly the same, we put it down to the bad summers we've had. Well, the Borage is back! I've found 3 small seedlings, 2 in flower so they will hopefully self seed for future years.

We've had another warm sunny day, MrD has finished cleaning our paved patio and it looks like new. This afternoon he went for a walk down to the beach whilst I cooked our curry, he brought back some elderflowers so I have made the first batch of cordial of this year.

I saw the first Red Admiral butterfly around lunchtime, but it was in such a hurry I was unable to photograph it. Lots of bumble bees and honey bees in the mini meadow, and there was a blackbird helping herself to strawberries.

Hope everyone's Saturday went well and that Sunday will be even more relaxing :-) x
