All The Small Things #10

More macro stuff ... and a rather beautiful hover-fly.

Rather chuffed with this one today, it was taken at Frampton Marshes. I think there is quite a lot summer sunshine, colour and warmth in it.

It was much cooler here last night, the result was an excellent nights sleep!

We managed to watch most of the thrilling climax to the first Ashes test before we went out for Sunday lunch in Surfleet. The pub was next too one of the many fens in this area, and the banking was alive with Butterflies. I saw several Gatekeepers and a small white. there were also a number of the Small Skipper species flitting around, and here and there Blue Tailed Damselflies, which seem to be very much in season at the moment.

From there we went onto Frampton for a couple of hours. I only had my 300mm lens on me, so taking photos of the Black Tailed Godwits in the resplendent summer plumage will have to wait for another blip.

A couple of rejected blips for you today, an please look back over the past few days of this feed as I have caught up with the missing blips.
