Tanks in George Square!

It happened back in January 1919 when tanks rolled into the city amidst fears of a revolution.

It happened again today but these were more friendly tanks. The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards were in town and marched from Holland Street to the Square. They were accompanied by a Pipe Band, some mounted guardsmen, and the aforementioned tank and armoured personnel carrier.

When they arrived they were met by the Provost of Glasgow and Jim Murphy the Scottish Secretary representing the Government. Actually the last 3 pictures I took were of Mr Murphy so that'll probably be the camera broken! I really shouldn't take risks like that.

This is a bit rushed as I actually took around 160 pictures but haven't had time to look at them.
