A Life of Laughter

Highland Adventures

Rory and I spent the day at the Tobermory Highland games enjoying a catch up and a picnic with some friends who are holiday in Mull. The ferry journey to Mull was incredible due to the fog surrounding the island. It looked like something out of a movie when the island started to appear out of the fog! I can't express how beautiful it looked.

The Highland Games were really entertaining, although we didn't stay to see the caber toss which I was slightly disappointed about. However, Rory and Chris took part in the spectators race; Rory running in wellies and Chris running in walking boots. Safe to say that they didn't win but they did do quite well in the race!

Chris and Ailsa are spending the night at our holiday home tonight, so we went out to a four star hotel for dinner. The restaurant was lovely, the food was excellent and the company was brilliant. However, the restaurant was extremely quiet which we all found a little weird. Rory ended up paying a tenner for a Southern Comfort and Diet Coke which we all thought was a bit of a joke.

After dinner, we headed to the beach outside of our house, where Rory, Chris and Ailsa braved the cold and the jellyfish to go canoeing and swimming in the sea. Even if I could swim, I would not have been braving the jellies to swim! I was quite content taking photos of everyone else in the water.

We're about to find out which one of us is the best liar through a game of Bullsh*t. This should be good!
