Camino Diaries Day 11- Sun, Sand and Cee
We are on the penultimate day of our pilgrimage and have travelled from A Picota to Cee. It was another very long walk but this time, after a cloudy start, the sun came out and we we were greeted with our first glimpse of the Atlantic and Spain’s North West beaches. We were very tired when we arrived at our hotel, so we took a moment to gather ourselves then headed out to beach. The water was very cold and divine; giving our muscles a much needed ice bath in preparation for the final day. Earlier today we met up with Richard and Nick who have stayed in our hotel, both last night and tonight. They suggested before dinner we pop down to the town where a medieval festival and street market are taking place. It was fascinating, lots of people dressed up as warriors and people of the Middle Ages. It’s a yearly event and had a very similar feeling as Guid Nychburris. We are currently enjoying some sea food based meal prepared by the hotel chef. Reputedly it’s only 16km to Finisterre tomorrow.
