Camino Diaries Day 8-Taking Life to New Heights
This is our last day in Santiago as we leave for Finisterre tomorrow. We’ve had a relatively chilled day eat and drinking (lots of tinto de verano) while recharging our batteries. However, we couldn’t resist the chance to have a tour of the cathedral! The start of the tour was quite typical, lots of tapestries and artefacts but then we found ourselves popping through a side door and out in the rooftops! Those who know Mumma bear will be very aware she isn’t the biggest fan of heights, so there were a few nervous moments but she managed. The panoramic views from the cathedral towers were spectacular. After a truly wonderful time in Santiago de Compostela, we’re about to see the much anticipated fireworks display that start the feast St James’ Day. The vibes here are a bit like Hogmanay!
