Swinging

These holidays are exhausting!
We went to Blenheim this morning to meet Mrs L and Baby T.
We had a lovely picnic, lots of fun in the sandpit - and a few tears from Miss L when she fell off the climbing frame into the sand, somehow headbutting the fireman's pole on the way down!
We went on the train up to the Palace and back, had ice creams, went into the Butterfly House (which funnily enough felt cooler than it did outside!!) and then had more fun in the playground. Miss E was very proud of herself managing the monkey bars all by herself. About six feet up in the air!
She told Miss L she was so strong because she eats all her meat which gives her muscles!
Then we walked round Woodstock in the billion degree heat looking for a dancewear shop which Mrs L had told me about.
Miss E wants a sparkly pink lycra leotard. With sparkles on. And silver bits.
Over my dead body!
I told her we'd find one we both agreed on!
After two trudges round the market square with very hot and tired children we finally discovered the shop had shut down.
So it was home to the swing and a spot of butterfly hunting before dinner.
Then I went to Milton Keynes with Mrs C and Mrs Z for dinner at Café Rouge. Supposedly to plan our holiday next week but mostly for chatting and laughing!
Now I am proper sleepy.
These holidays are exhausting!
