The Life Of Ponty Cyclops

All The Small Things #18

What I am lacking in birds in the back garden here in Tonyrefail, I have more than made up for in butterflies. You would have thought that the old house in Llantwit Fardre which was situated in the woods would have had a load of different species, it never really did. I suspect the lack of flowers due to the slugs massacring everything I ever planted there.

This is a meadow brown that has been out there for a couple of days now. I have also recorded a ringlet, gatekeeper, small tortoiseshell, large tortoiseshell, peacock, red admiral, large white and small white out there this summer.

Quite impressive.
