Frog Portrait

We went out this afternoon to Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary, near us in Northampton. We saw quite a number of good birds around the field station--e.g. male and female scarlet tanagers, cedar waxwings, Baltimore orioles (a female at least), goldfinches, and various sparrows.

But none of the birds were nearly as susceptible to my long lens as some dozen frogs, and so I'm posting this blip. They were in a shady pond behind the small field house, bordered by a an excellent boardwalk with an ideal view from above.
View this fellow large and he may jump out at you :)
