Mum and Rory

I had a great day out with the family in London. Mum, Dad (Cradlehall), Rory and Benny came to pick me up in the morning. However, they couldn't come into the house because Fred had developed flu symptoms and it's better to be safe. They had to wave at him through the living room window behind which he is in quarantine. I'm going to paint a red cross and the sign of a pig on the front door. He's probably got Man Flu (which, as we all know, is far more dangerous than swine flu), so he can't be too careful - the NHS say to stay away from crowded places. He feels slightly worse now - he doesn't have a temperature, but he does have a snotty nose and a sore throat. I have my fingers crossed that he feels much better soon.

Dad drove us away from the sick house to Richmond, where we had a pub lunch by the Thames and watched the Egyptian goose chicks fall asleep on the riverbank. Afterwards, we visited Great Aunt Pam for long chats, sandwiches and a delicious home-made cake. It was really lovely to catch up with her.

More photos from the day are here.

Thank you all for your comments yesterday - it was a very sad day. Big Sid and Sybil are sad, too, and seem a little lost today without their friend to cuddle up to.
