A Day in My Life ~ George

Northern Caracara

In the past I have driven past a "Birds of Prey" sign, and today I made time to go visit.

It is a facility of the Audubon of Florida. At this location they take in injured, and deformed Birds of Prey.

This picture is of a Northern Caracara, also known as "Mexican Eagle". It is a threatened species. These birds feeds on carrion, along side vultures.

This particular bird is an Ambassador for the center, because it cannot return to the wild due to not having wing structure.
