Sunday lunch

We had my daughter's boyfriend round for lunch, Mme MB did a Sunday lunch with chicken, veggies and Yorkshire. The boyfriend has become a guineapig for British food.
The other week he ate with me and my daughter on a Wednesday. They have a half day on that day, so I did an English fry up for them. We even had some baked beans for once.
So far he seems to like British food as both times he cleared his plate.

They have only been seeing each other for a few months, so everything is new for us. I suppose the next stage will be inviting his parents round. Or rather his Maman and Beau père (Mum & Step Dad).
We met his real Dad the other week at the car show, who seemed nice. His job is clearing out waste pipes and it just so happens ours needs clearing out. He has kindly offered to do it for us, as he has one of those special trucks with a compressor and water tank.
Our daughter's boyfriend told us that he has Spanish origins on his Dad's side. So I suppose we are a bit United Nations. It seems that since living in France, I've met people from so many different nationalities.

In the past I've often joked about getting some Dobermans for our driveway to keep the boyfriends at bay. So far my daughters boyfriend has come across as being nice but a bit shy. So far so good.
