Productive

Although awfully wet, today was good. In the morning I got initial benchmarking results that were good, and in the afternoon implemented a feature that was easy as a result of all the time I've spent working around one of our solvers. I should have gone into work, but I was on a roll, there were delays on the buses, and it was pouring with rain. I also had a very promising exchange of emails with someone good who is interested in the PhD position I'm offering. To cap off the day I learned that, after three weeks of worrying silence, the £120k industrial contract we were awarded has finally received internal approval.

I cooked tea, and am now watching the final minutes of Arsenal's dismantling of Real Madrid.
