Injured?!

This afternoon we walked from Botallack to Cape Cornwall to Levant. It was a beautiful warm day and amazingly there were quite a few people walking the same route as us today. Normally we don't see anyone on our big long walks.

We walked for about 5.5 miles and just as we were nearing the end of the coast path part of the walk, before we turned inland to walk back across the fields to our car........... I decided that I could smell bunnies.

I was just about to go chasing when Ann tripped and fell. She really hurt herself. Her foot was throbbing and her knee was very, very sore, and she didn't know whether she could get up. She lay on the ground and shouted, 'Trixie come'. And no, there wasn't one single person around at this point. I really, really, wanted to go looking for bunnies. I hadn't actually seen one but I could smell they were about. But Ann was crying because she was in so much pain so I knew that she had to be my first priority. You have no idea how happy Ann was that I came back to her instead of chasing bunnies. We sat on the ground together for about 2 mins ages until Ann decided that she could get up and walk the two miles back to the car.

It was hard going 'cos the return route was through fields and we had lots of stiles to climb and Ann was convinced she had sprained her ankle. 

Anyway, we made it back to the car and Ann quickly changed out of her walking boots, into her trainers cos she thought if she had sprained her ankle, her foot might swell up and then she wouldn't be able to get any shoes on. Honestly my human is such a drama Queen!

The drive home was a nightmare. Every time she had to change gear, her knee really, really, hurt. Obviously, now that we're home, she's inspected her knee. It's agony but there's nothing to see. At least her foot is OK. 

She's not quite sure if she's done any serious damage to it. Because she's been sitting for an hour it seems to have seized up and is now mega painful.

Oh well, hey ho, we had a really nice walk in really nice weather. Ann's not working until Saturday and our weather app is saying that it's going to rain for the rest of our life so we might just take it easy tomorrow.

Unfortunately, Ann needs to go to the toilet now and that involves going upstairs. Could be a bit challenging??!! Lol!!!
