A view from Jeanneb

Good Friday

Not been favoured by the sun today but it’s been mainly fine and Chris has finally got the grass cut. It took a while to get the mower started (petrol) as it was damp, unlike the grass which is so dry there was not much on it.

I walked up the village to the hairdresser for my appt and took the picture of the cross outside the church, which Chris put up yesterday, with the lovely flowers around the church door behind.

Our church is currently being decorated and is full of scaffolding  so not available for our Easter services, so I was a bit surprised to see the lovely decoration when we arrived last night with our food for the Maundy Thursday supper. I’ve included the picture I took then as it is lit by evening light. It’s a lovely church for weddings but the door is never in the sun during the day so I feel a bit sorry for some bridal parties when it’s sunny and want pictures taken there when they come out.

The supper went really well but when we asked for anyone who was vegetarian there were non! Never mind I had our veggie version and three other people volunteered to have some plus one person who had seconds so we brought about half back.
Chris will have some tonight as I’m out with the ladies who travelled, we’re going for a curry in Bingley.

The rest will be frozen in portions that he can access next week whilst I’m away.
Have a good Easter weekend.
