Good Friday

The day started bright with a little sunshine which was particularly appreciated as we knew (some much needed) rain was forecast for the afternoon and evening.

We went over to Goodwood to walk with Merlin and to have a celebratory birthday brunch at The Kennels for Andy. The bluebells are now in full bloom and the fresh green foliage looked luminous in the sunlight. We also noticed several trees laden with mistletoe (see Extras).  Brunch was a tasty and relaxed affair, and Merlin enjoyed watching people coming and going and receiving biscuits from the staff.

This afternoon we’ve relaxed whilst Andy has caught up with family and friends, and the football! I walked Merlin in the rain and he found a squeaky ball which he insisted on bringing home. It’s an Indian meal for dinner this evening.
